Analytical Engineer/Scientist
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Engineer/Scientist for the Protein and Analytical Chemistry (PAC) team in Lund.
The PAC team collaborates closely with other teams within the company by supporting BioInvent’s development of antibodies for use in clinical trials for treatment of cancer patients. We also support external customers in their drug development programs. The person we are looking for is highly knowledgeable in the field of protein chemistry and is an experienced analyst who enjoys planning and executing experiments, interpreting data and summarizing results in reports.
Qualifications
To succeed in this position, we believe you have the following qualifications:
- A bioanalytical chemist/engineer or equivalent degree with primary focus in protein and analytical chemistry
- Experience with protein purification of antibodies or other proteins
- Experience with analytical methods for characterization of antibodies and/or other proteins, including SEC, HIC, IEC, electrophoresis (CE or slab gels), light scattering, spectroscopy, LC-MS, ELISA, glycan analysis or related techniques
- Knowledge in mass spectrometry
- Excellent data analysis, interpretation, and reporting skills
- Good written and oral communication skills in English and preferably also in Swedish
- Good computer skills, experience with electronic document handling systems
The following experience will be considered an asset
- Experience and deep knowledge of antibodies, including antibody sequences and structure, common modifications, and stability risks
- Experience and understanding of formulation development, forced degradation and batch comparability studies
- Experience with in silico assessment of antibody developability
- Industry experience working with biological products
- Experience with bi-/multi-specific antibodies
- Experience with chemical modifications of proteins
- Be technically competent
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for analysis and characterization of antibodies

The position is a full-time position based in Lund, Sweden.
